The Scirocco R is more powerful, weighs less, and has a new look. Its refined four-stroke engine has a sportier sound. Our Slip-On system not only provides impressive background sound, it also enhances the visual impression.
The icing on the cake is the tail pipe sets, available in either titanium alloy or aerospace-grade carbon fiber. Whether the tail pipes are polished titanium or carbon fiber, your Scirocco R with a Slip-On system will stand out from the crowd. The Slip-On exhaust system is made from top-quality stainless steel.
Performance
The Akrapovič Slip-On exhaust, with its twin muffler configuration and 115 mm exhaust tail pipes, was also developed with performance improvements in mind. The Slip-On system offers this Volkswagen coupe an additional 4 horsepower and 3 Nm of torque, and the different system configuration also brings a 3 kg weight savings. The power increase is most apparent between 2,500 and 4,700 rpm—that is, the midrange rpm that is used the most—but the power and torque increases last from this range all the way to this engine’s top rpm.

The Volkswagen Golf GTI is considered an icon in the world of automobiles. The GTI is also popular with tuners, who search for GTI accessories to improve its power and look. The Slip-On improves responsiveness of the GTI’s 4-cylinder engine and particularly improves the power between 1.800 rpm and 3.300 rpm – in the most often used range. It is difficult to refrain from pushing the GTI’s 4-cylinder engine towards the red section on the rpm indicator, because not only does the exciting sporty sound (even race sound when using the link pipe) cause an adrenalin rush, so does the increase of power, which is particularly noticeable from 4.500 rpm on.
